About Us

‍‍Redeemer Community Church, located at 4022 4th Avenue South in Birmingham, AL, is a nondenominational church dedicated to celebrating and declaring the gospel of God while growing in knowing and following Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of Pastor Joel Brooks, Redeemer embraces a mission of gospel hospitality, which is central to its identity and community life.

Service Times

‍Redeemer offers multiple services every Sunday: at 8:00 AM, 9:40 AM, 11:15 AM, and 4:00 PM, accommodating a variety of schedules to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in Sunday morning worship.

College Ministry‍

‍Redeemer’s College Ministry is an excellent place for students to deepen their faith and connect with peers. The church hosts worship nights on Tuesdays and small groups throughout the week, providing a supportive environment for spiritual growth and fellowship. Our History

‍Founded in 2008, Redeemer Community Church started as a church meeting in the Brooks' home in Crestwood before expanding to its current location in Avondale. Despite its growth, Redeemer has maintained its commitment to gospel hospitality, often reflected in the tradition of sharing meals with newcomers at Pastor Joel and his wife Lauren's home​.
